Radical Rising of 1820
Presented by: Lorraine Murray
On the first of April, 1820, a number of placards were posted around Scotland asking for workers to engage in a national strike for better wages. The strikes lasted a week but resulted in a number of trials for treason. In this talk, archivist Lorraine Murray will share information and stories gleaned from the records generated by the Radical Rising of 1820.
